Every year, Concordia Publishing House publishes four Arch books: one Old Testament, one New Testament, one Easter and one Christmas story. Coming up with a fresh approach for Christmas and Easter can be challenging. I remember that as a child I had lots of questions about the Christmas story and drew on those memories to write When Jesus Was Born, published in 2007. Kathy Mitter illustrated the story, based on Luke 2, beautifully.
