Silent Night

I like to post religious carols on Sundays, so here’s Fats Domino once again with a perfectly lovely version of Silent Night, rendered yet more enjoyable by the inclusion of a plethora of Christmas kitten illustrations.

Still a Favorite

This hymn by Eleanor Farjeon, one of my favorites, is set to a traditional Scottish Gaelic tune and was published in 1931 as a hymn to give thanks for each day. Forty years later, Cat Stevens released his beautiful rendition.

The flower is fittingly named Glory Bush. Photo taken in La Fortuna, Costa Rica, June 2014.

Thankful for Justice

Today I am thankful that the Colorado Springs Police Department has arrested the man who hit us. One month and one day since he was featured on Pikes Peak Area Crime Stoppers Featured Fugitives; one month and two days after he hit us and fled the scene.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Happy Thanksgiving. I especially like when Laura’s birthday falls on Thanksgiving, just like the day she was born. It’s been a lovely day, my family is happy and (mostly) healthy, friends have reported great news over the past week, and tomorrow is a day of rest.
