I would have thought that there would be many Della Reese Christmas selections from which to choose, but this was the only one I could find. A lovely lady with a lovely voice to start our week out right.

This hymn by Eleanor Farjeon, one of my favorites, is set to a traditional Scottish Gaelic tune and was published in 1931 as a hymn to give thanks for each day. Forty years later, Cat Stevens released his beautiful rendition.

On Small Business Saturday, I am happy to live in the same neighborhood as Angelina’s Cafe, Cycle Depot, Double D Market, Shop Girl and West Main Pizza.

Today I am thankful that the Colorado Springs Police Department has arrested the man who hit us. One month and one day since he was featured on Pikes Peak Area Crime Stoppers Featured Fugitives; one month and two days after he hit us and fled the scene.

Happy Thanksgiving. I especially like when Laura’s birthday falls on Thanksgiving, just like the day she was born. It’s been a lovely day, my family is happy and (mostly) healthy, friends have reported great news over the past week, and tomorrow is a day of rest.
